After the shock of finding out that we were expecting twins in 2015, one of the first things that we realised was that …we’re gonna need a bigger car!
We’re a family of six with two girls and two boys aged 17, 14 and 10 year old twins.

2025 Summer Road Trip
This summer we have sixteen days for our holiday road trip. We have decided to stay at a Eurocamp on the south coast of France, an area we have not visited as a family before.
After last summer’s epic twenty-five day trip to Croatia, visiting ten countries, this year we are not going as far and will be staying for twelve days at a single campsite close to St Tropez.
Not wanting to take the easy, direct route, we will be taking four days to travel to the south of France with one night in a hotel in Sens, France and then through the Alps for a two night stay in Turin, Italy, to rendezvous with our eldest who is interrailing across Europe after finishing her A-Level exams.
On the fourth day we are planning to drive to the campsite, from Turin, with a stop for lunch in Monaco and tick another country off the list.
We will then spend twelve, hopefully relaxing, days on the beach, meeting up with family friends, before a more direct drive back home.

2024 Summer Road Trip
This summer we’re driving as a family to Croatia for a seven night beach holiday. We’re taking ten days to get there and eight days to get home, approximately 3,400 miles in total! On the trip across Europe we’ll be stopping in several countries which we’ve always wanted to visit. We’re hoping to combine different cultures, food, theme parks and amazing scenery to create special family memories that we’ll always remember.
Our stops include Efteling theme park in the Netherlands; Bamberg in Germany; Prague; Bratislava; Vienna; Miskolc including a thermal spa in Hungary; and Zagreb on our way to a campsite in Trogir Croatia where we’re staying for seven nights.
On the way home we’ll be visiting Ljubljana and Lake Bled Slovenia; Austria; Neuschwanstein Castle and Heidelberg in Germany; Aÿ-Champagne and a vinyard in France before crossing the Channel back to the UK. We’ve got eight days to travel home.
